Super League Basketball Disciplinary: Duke Shelton & Ovie Soko
London Lions vs Leicester Riders – Sunday January 19 2025

Following their disqualifications from the game between the London Lions and Leicester Riders on January 19, Duke Shelton and Ovie Soko were investigated by the SLB Disciplinary Panel.

Duke Shelton received nine penalty points.

Ovie Soko, following an Appeal by the London Lions on the original outcome determined by the SLB Disciplinary Panel, received 13 disciplinary points. Soko’s disciplinary points included three points he was previously issued on a suspended basis for an incident during the Manchester Basketball vs London Lions game on November 30.

Super League Basketball operates a system of cumulative disciplinary points, and a one-game suspension comes into force whenever a person’s total penalty points reach (or exceed) each of the following totals: 10, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 etc.

As such, Ovie Soko’s 13 penalty points take him to 31 in total for the season, and he will serve a three-game suspension which, will be served for the London Lions vs Manchester Basketball game on Wednesday February 26 2025, Cheshire Phoenix vs London Lions game on Sunday March 2 2025 and London Lions vs Bristol Flyers on Wednesday March 5 2025.
