The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks have announced the signing of Fahro Alihodzic for the remainder of the 2025/26 Super League Basketball season.
The 36-year-old experienced forward, hailing from Vlasenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, began the season with BC Prievidza in Slovakia whilst also competing in FIBA Europe Cup, averaging 7.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1 assist in 18 games this season. The veteran has previously played in the UK with both the Caledonia Gladiators and London Lions.
Reflecting on his signing for the Sharks, Alihodzic said:
“I’m looking forward to playing in Sheffield for the remainder of the season. I have always admired the culture and competitiveness of this organisation, and I can’t wait to get started. The fans create an incredible atmosphere at the Canon Medical Arena and on the road, so I’m looking forward to representing the city and helping to achieve our goals for the season.”
Sharks Head Coach Atiba Lyons stated:
“Fahro will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the roster. He’s a great professional and has performed to a high level in both the UK and in Europe for a number of years now. I’m sure he will fit well with the roster we have here and I’m thrilled to have him onboard.”
