Bristol Flyers announce MCS as new Principal Partner

Bristol Flyers have announced MCS as the club’s new Principal Partner ahead of the 2026/27 season, in a landmark two-year agreement that will see the two organisations work together both on and off the court.

The new agreement marks a significant milestone for the Flyers, with MCS becoming the first Principal Partner from outside of the wider Bristol Sport group, demonstrating basketball’s commercial growth in recent years.

MCS, a leading mechanical and electrical building services company based in Yate, will take centre stage across the Flyers’ senior teams, with its logo featuring on the front of the men’s first team home and away jerseys, as well as on the back of the team’s warm-up tops.

The partnership will have a club-wide presence, with MCS featuring on the front of the Bristol Flyers Women’s first team and men’s second team home and away jerseys.

At the heart of the agreement is a shared commitment to supporting basketball within the Bristol community, with the partnership extending well beyond the professional game.

As part of the deal, a portion of MCS’s sponsorship will be directed to the Bristol Flyers Community programme, helping the club continue to deliver basketball opportunities for young people across the city and wider region.

This will include support for Project Take Off, the Flyers’ programme designed to remove financial barriers to participation and help children from disadvantaged backgrounds access basketball.

The shared commitment to community, opportunity and supporting the next generation made the Flyers a natural fit for MCS.

MCS Group Commercial Director Luke van Mazyk said: “We’re incredibly proud to become the Principal Partner to Bristol Flyers.

“This is an exciting new chapter for MCS as we enter professional sports sponsorship for the first time. What really attracted us to the Flyers was the opportunity to support something much bigger than just the professional game.

“We’re passionate about supporting the communities in which we operate and already have a strong connection with community sport across the South West. The Flyers share that commitment, particularly through the work of their Community programme.

“Supporting initiatives such as Project Take Off is particularly important to us. Every young person should have the opportunity to participate in sport, develop their confidence and be part of a team, regardless of their background or financial circumstances.

“We’re excited to see the MCS logo on the Flyers jerseys this season, but even more excited about the opportunities this partnership will help create within the community.”

Bristol Flyers CEO Lisa Knights said: “We’re delighted to welcome MCS to the Bristol Flyers family as our new Principal Partner.

“This is an exciting partnership for the club. MCS are the first Principal Partner we’ve welcomed from outside of the Bristol Sport group, demonstrating the commercial growth of the sport. It is also significant that MCS has chosen to support the whole Flyers programme with support for Men’s first and second teams, Women’s first team along with Flyers Community.

“It demonstrates that this partnership is about much more than branding. A significant part of the agreement is focused on supporting our community programme and helping us create more opportunities for young people to access basketball.

“Project Take Off is a fantastic example of that. We want every child to have the opportunity to experience basketball, regardless of their circumstances, and the support from MCS will help us continue to remove some of the financial barriers that can prevent young people from playing sport.

“MCS share our ambition to make a positive impact in Bristol and across the South West, and we’re really looking forward to working together over the next two years.”

The new partnership comes at an exciting time for the Flyers, as demolition work begins on the Sporting Quarter site preparing for Flyers’ new home next to Ashton Gate.

With MCS’s support extending across the men’s first team, women’s first team, men’s second team and community programme, the partnership represents a shared commitment to growing basketball and creating opportunities for more people across Bristol and the South West.
