Leicester Riders have announced the addition of American guard RaeQuan Battle to their roster for the remainder of the 2025/26 Super League Basketball season.
The 6’5” guard brings dynamic scoring ability, elite athleticism, and proven experience from NCAA Division I basketball. Most recently, Battle starred for West Virginia University, where he averaged 16.1 points per game during the 2023–24 season, ranking among the Big 12’s top scorers and earning a reputation as a fearless offensive threat.
Prior to his time with the Mountaineers, Battle played at Montana State, where he was instrumental in leading the Bobcats to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances.
In his first year with the Bobcats he was named Big Sky 6th Man of the Year. In the 2022/23 season, he averaged 17.7 points per game ranking 2nd in the conference, earning a place in the All-Big Sky First Team alongside being named All-Big Sky Tournament MVP.
Following college, Battle entered the NBA Summer League with the Charlotte Hornets before signing with the G League affiliate Greensboro Swarm for the 2024–25 season.
With the Swarm he averaged 5.0 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.4 assists per game, highlighted by a standout 19-point performance where he shot 5-for-6 from three-point range. His efficiency from beyond the arc was notable, connecting on over 40% of his three-point attempts, underscoring his ability to stretch the floor at the professional level.
