Six games awaited fans in week seven of the Super League Basketball Championship.
Each contest had a different winner, with the most notable story being the London Lions remaining unbeaten in the 2025-26 campaign.
Leicester Riders 95-93 Cheshire Phoenix
Leicester Riders put an end to the Cheshire Phoenix’s five-game winning streak with a 95-93 victory at Mattioli Arena.
In doing so, Leicester picked up a third straight win of their own, and their second consecutive by just one possession following their 80-78 victory against Surrey 89ers last time out.
Up by six heading into the fourth quarter, the Riders managed to maintain their lead throughout, but with under a minute to play, Cheshire went ahead for the first time since early in the second period thanks to a Laquincy Rideau layup. However, with 30 seconds remaining, Don Carey Jr. came up clutch in front of the home fans with a three-point bomb that saw his side take their lead right back.
Rideau, who’s already hit a game-winner this season, then missed a three of his own in the final few seconds, and from that miss, Frankie Policelli couldn’t convert the put-back attempt as time expired.
RaeQuan Battle led proceedings with an efficient 24 points on 75% shooting, whilst also going 5-for-7 from downtown. There were also double-doubles for Carey Jr., who posted 18 points and dished out 10 assists, and Spencer Johnson, who scored 14 and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Manchester Basketball 87-75 B.Braun Sheffield Sharks
Manchester Basketball defeated B.Braun Sheffield Sharks 87-75 to secure their third victory of the Super League Basketball season.
After trailing for the first 10 minutes, an incredible defensive performance in the second quarter saw Sheffield held to just six points, opening up a comfortable lead that Manchester never surrendered for the rest of the contest.
Rodney Chatman III put up a personal season-high of 27 points for the Sharks, but 23 off the bench from Kaiyem Cleary on 7-of-10 shooting led the way for Manchester, who were able to build on their midweek win in the European North Basketball League against Brussels Basketball.
Max Jones also chimed in with 14 for Manchester, and Zak Irvin added 12 whilst missing just one shot all night.
Player of the game: Kaiyem Cleary (Manchester Basketball)
Newcastle Eagles 83-87 Bristol Flyers
Bristol Flyers got the better of Newcastle Eagles in a replay of last season’s SLB Trophy Final, winning 87-83 at Vertu Arena.
The Eagles were 97-78 victors in the 2024/25 final in Birmingham, but Bristol got revenge this time around in what was a closely fought contest.
The Flyers led by as many as 13 in the first half, but were slowly pegged back by Newcastle who found themselves up by two points heading into the final quarter.
It remained tight throughout, but it ended up being Bristol that edged it, largely thanks to Jonathan Brown and Joe Anderson combining for 18 of the Flyers’ 29 fourth quarter points.
Cam Holden scored 20 points and made all three of his attempts from behind the arc, with Marcus Delpeche registering a 13 point, 10 rebound double-double off the bench.

B.Braun Sheffield Sharks 76-69 Bristol Flyers
B.Braun Sheffield Sharks rebounded from their Halloween loss to defeat the Bristol Flyers 76-69.
The Sharks held Bristol to just 35% shooting whilst going 56% from the field themselves to snap their three-game losing streak.
It was a back-and-forth battle, with 10 lead changes throughout, and no team ever led by more than seven points. Proceedings were tied at 67 apiece, but a 9-2 run in the final couple of minutes sealed the win for Sheffield.
18 points from Rodney Chatman III led all scorers, Dirk Williams put up 16 with eight rebounds and Rodney Glasgow Jr added 14.

Caledonia Gladiators 74-62 Manchester Basketball
A monster outing off the bench from Matt Ragsdale helped Caledonia Gladiators secure a 74-62 victory over Manchester Basketball.
In a relatively low-scoring matchup, Ragsdale poured in 26 points, almost twice as many as the next leading scorers, and made six of Caledonia’s seven three-pointers.
The first period saw both teams have stretches out in front, but shortly into quarter number two, the Scottish outfit gained a lead that they would build on throughout the remainder of the game.
Aside from Ragsdale’s standout showing, both Rian Holland and Ethan Wright scored 14 each, and for Manchester, Kaiyem Cleary and Gabe Osabuohien put up 13 and 12 respectively.
Player of the game: Matt Ragsdale (Caledonia Gladiators)
London Lions 82-70 Leicester Riders
London Lions continued to roll in the 2025-26 SLB season, moving to 7-0 after a 82-70 win against Leicester Riders.
Despite London having no performances that stood out in the box score, 11 players managed to get in the scoring column for Tautvydas Sabonis’ squad who would have been delighted to give solid minutes to everyone.
The turning point came in the third quarter where Leicester scored just six points, which allowed the Lions to carry a 22-point lead into the final 10 minutes. Despite the Riders attempting to stage what would have been an astonishing comeback, it was too big of a deficit to overcome.
It was three pointers only for Mo Soluade, who made four from beyond the arc. He, Kam McGusty and Deane Williams all finished with 12 points, whilst Don Carey Jr. had 17 for Leicester.
