Manchester Basketball have confirmed the signings of two exciting NCAA talents including Dartmouth standout Brandon Mitchell-Day and Harvard University graduate Chandler Piggé for their 2026/27 roster.
A 6’8″ forward, Mitchell-Day started all 27 games for Dartmouth last season became the 33rd student-athlete in program history to surpass 1,000 career points, finishing his time in green with 1,038. The American also led the team and the Ivy League in rebounds with 244 on the season ranking seventh in NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball statistics with 7.19 defensive rebounds per game, earning an All-Ivy Honorable Mention.
“I’m incredibly excited to join Manchester Basketball for the upcoming season,” commented Mitchell-Day.
“The opportunity to represent this club and be a part of such a passionate sports community is something I’m really looking forward to. I can’t wait to touchdown in the city, meet the fans and build something special. I’m excited to get straight to work and do whatever to takes to win!”
MCR Head Coach Matthew Otten added:
“Brandon Mitchell-Day is a forward with a great rebounding career in college.
“He has great defensive presence and offensively is a versatile player who can attack the basket or stretch the floor. With his high motor and reputation for work ethic he will give us strength in the frontcourt.”
Mitchell-Day has battled against fellow signing Chandler Piggé in the Ivy League during his time with Dartmouth, he also shared the court this last season with Manchester native Ben Brown.
Piggé scored 965 points & made 216 assists in 99 career games in crimson and begins his professional career in the North-West having been captain for two years at Harvard. Piggé twice earned All-Ivy honours, an Honourable Mention All-Ivy in 2024/25 and Second Team All-Ivy in 2025/26.
Chandler also represented the USA at the 2025 FISU World University Games in Bochum, Germany, winning a silver medal in men’s 3X3 basketball.

Having grown up in a military family, before Harvard, Chandler spent 2021/22 at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire, following his graduation from Baumholder American High in Baumholder, Germany.
“We are looking for Chandler Piggé to bring his physicality and high motor to the wing position” reflected Head Coach Matthew Otten.
“He’s an athletic wing who can run the floor and has a strong presence on the defence end and capable of defending multiple positions. He has the reputation of a winner and a great teammate that I think will fit our culture here.”
Manchester have now confirmed eight signings for the new season, with Brandon Mitchell-Day, Matt Nicholson and Duke Shelton announced on the roster this week.
