After much anticipation, the draw for the First Round of the Super League Basketball Cup competition was completed at Manchester’s National Basketball Performance Centre this afternoon.
Hosted by British basketball legend Dan Routledge, alongside stars from the league – Cheshire Phoenix’s David Ulph and Manchester Basketball’s Marcus Delpeche – the draw was broadcast at halftime of all of today’s games on DAZN, with the nine SLB outfits and seven wildcards from Basketball England and basketballScotland‘s premier competitions learning their fates.

- Sony Centre Falkirk Fury vs Leicester Riders
- St Mirren vs London Lions
- Derby Trailblazers vs Surrey 89ers
- Reading Rockets vs B. Braun Sheffield Sharks
- Nottingham Hoods vs Cheshire Phoenix
- Essex Rebels vs Bristol Flyers
- Newcastle Eagles vs Caledonia Gladiators

All First Rounds ties are to be played on December 13, 14 and 15 and are single-leg elimination contests, as are the quarter-finals which be contested in early January. The semi-finals of the competition will be played in February and are two-legged ties with the winner decided by aggregate score, before the Final is hosted at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham on March 9 2025.
