London Lions star leads Molten All-League Team of the Year selections

Super League Basketball is delighted to announce the roster for the Molten All-League Team of the Year, following a voting process involving the League’s Head Coaches, Captains and select members of the media.

Second-year pro Joel Scott marks a superb debut season for the London Lions by leading the way in All-League Team of the Year selections as he racked up 17 votes – two shy of the maximum – following a stellar campaign for Tautvydas Sabonis’ side.

Scott has had to contend with injuries this season, however has certainly cemented himself as one of the club’s top contributors during his 28 appearances thus far, including a clutch performance in March’s Cup Final where the Colorado native came up big time down the stretch to help London see off Manchester to secure their second major honour of the season. He’ll be hoping to help guide the Lions to a historic quadruple at The O2, London on May 17, with tickets now available via the navigation bar.

Cheshire Phoenix floor general Patrick Robinson is next up on the roster with 16 selections. Whether starting or coming off the bench, the 26-year-old has provided exactly what the Ellesmere Port club have needed as they charged to second in the standings in the Regular Season. The left-hander averaged 20 points per contest and scooped multiple Molten Player of the Month honours for his exploits, as well.

Deane Williams follows up his All-Defensive and All-British Team of the Year nominations by completing the treble with his appearance on this roster. It’s not the first treble he’s secured this season either, after helping London to Championship, Cup and Trophy glory, with one more title still up for grabs at The O2 later this month. The British national has certainly cemented his status as one of the best two-ways stars in SLB this season.

Rounding out the roster are Manchester Basketball’s dynamic duo of Max Jones and Jordan Johnson. Both have proven themselves game-winners for Matthew Otten’s side on several occasions this season with their elite shot-making ability helping the north-west club to domestic and international success. They’ve reached two Finals this season in SLB and ENBL, but are yet to secure silverware – with one Final to compete for on the calendar, can they make it third time lucky and win the biggest game of the season?
