Bristol Flyers are excited to announce that Marcus Delpeche has signed a new one-year contract to remain with the club for the 2026/27 season.
The experienced forward becomes the first player to commit to Head Coach Andreas Kapoulas’ roster ahead of the upcoming Super League Basketball and ENBL campaign.
Delpeche enjoyed a homecoming season in Bristol last year after returning to the club in the summer of 2025. The 30-year-old made 32 league appearances, averaging 4.6 points and 3.3 rebounds in just over 11 minutes per game.
A familiar face to Flyers supporters, Delpeche first joined the club in 2018 and went on to make 86 appearances between 2018 and 2021. During his first spell in Bristol, he played a key role in helping the Flyers reach the British Cup Final in 2020.
Following his departure in 2022, Delpeche spent three seasons with Sheffield Sharks before a campaign in Manchester, bringing valuable experience back to Bristol upon his return last season.
Speaking on his contract extension, Delpeche said: “It feels great to be back with the Flyers for another season. I love this organisation, I love the fans and I love working with Coach Kapoulas.
“Every year I’ve been part of this club has been a great opportunity. We left a lot on the table last season, but we built a really positive environment and there’s a genuine belief that we can build on that again this season.
“When I look back on my journey with the Flyers, one of the things I’m most proud of is seeing how much both the club and I have grown together. I first came here early in my career, still developing as a player, and now I’m returning in more of a veteran role where I can help lead the group both on and off the court.
“The Flyers fans are the most loyal and consistent supporters in the league, and they make a huge difference every time we play at SGS. I hope they’re ready to bring the noise again this season and help make it the loudest gym in the league.”
Flyers Head Coach Andreas Kapoulas added: “Marcus brings a wealth of experience, toughness and professionalism to our group, and we’re delighted to have him back for another season.
“His understanding of our programme, combined with the leadership qualities he demonstrates every day, make him a valuable part of what we’re building. Marcus embraces his role within the team, competes at a high level and always puts the success of the group first.
“We’re looking forward to continuing our work together and seeing the impact he can have both on and off the court as we prepare for another competitive season in the SLB and ENBL.”
Delpeche’s return marks the first piece of business for the Flyers ahead of the 2026/27 season, with further roster announcements set to follow over the coming weeks.
