London Lions’ Petar Bozic wins Molten Ed Percival Coach of the Year

Super League Basketball is delighted to announce the winner of the Molten Ed Percival Coach of the Year, following a voting process involving the League’s Head Coaches, Captains and select members of the media.

London Lions play-caller Petar Bozic takes the top honour this year after guiding his roster through a gruelling Championship schedule to take top spot and the number one seed going into the Play-offs.

Rebuilding his roster over the summer with eye-catching acquisitions in the form of Aaryn Rai, Ovie Soko and Michael Brisker to name a few, Bozic has built a well-balanced outfit that has bested all challengers in the Regular Season.

Known as the ‘Professional Trophy Lifter’ from his days as a player with Partizan Belgrade where the Serbian play-caller won dozens of titles at domestic level, Bozic can now add his first Molten Ed Percival Coach of the Year title to a trophy cabinet bursting at the seams.

Reflecting on his award, Coach Bozic said:

“It’s such an honour to receive the Molten Ed Percival Coach of the Year award.

“First and foremost, I want to express my sincere gratitude to all the Super League Basketball coaches, team captains and media who voted for me. I’m truly thankful to be recognised in this way.

“To be acknowledged by the very opponents we’ve competed against all season long makes this recognition even more meaningful.

“This award means a lot to me personally — it provides extra motivation as I look ahead to the future. However, it also means a lot to the London Lions organisation as a whole. It’s a reflection of the collective effort, belief, and commitment we’ve shown as a club.

“A big thank you to my players, coaching staff, medical team, and our front office for their hard work and dedication throughout the season. I share this award with all of them.”

London Lions General Manager Martynas Purlys added:

“On behalf of the London Lions organisation, I extend my sincere congratulations to Coach Petar Božić on being named Molten Ed Percival Coach of the Year. This is a well-earned and meaningful award that truly reflects his leadership, dedication, and impact throughout the season. It is a recognition he fully deserves.”
