Sheffield Sharks Re-Sign Jordan Ratinho

The B. Braun Sheffield Sharks have announced the re-signing of Jordan Ratinho for the 2025/26 Super League Basketball season.

The 27-year-old versatile forward returns to the Sharks for his sixth season at the club, after first joining part-way through the 2020/21 season.

During his early years in Sheffield, Jordan was known for his formidable three-point shooting, but has since transformed into a defensive specialist, whilst still possessing the same shooting prowess.

Ratinho has already suited up for the Sharks in more than 200 games, and currently lies 5th on the list of total appearance makers under Head Coach Atiba Lyons.

Discussing his return to the club for another season with the Sharks in 2025/26, Ratinho said:

“I’m looking forward to coming back to Sheffield next season. It was a very easy decision to make, Sheffield feels like home and I enjoy playing in our system as I feel it suits my game well.

“I was thrilled to win my first piece of silverware last season as we won the Cup, and I’m sure silverware  will be the aim once again.”

Sharks Head Coach Atiba Lyons added:

“Jordan is a player I really enjoy having on my team. He is extremely versatile and whilst they may not show on the stat sheets, he does all of those little things that are key to creating a winning team.

“In what will be his sixth year with us here in Sheffield, I’m excited to have him return and play a pivotal role in the team once again.”
